This is big enough for 3+ tablespoons of loose leaves (I tried to packed 4 tbsps in but it’s probably too full). Anyway, I think it is very cute(looks like a little plant growing in you cup), functional and easy to clean. The price is a little bit high as a tea infuser but I think it’s worth it as a treat. I wish it comes with a bottom dish or a little something to hold the used infuser though.

The cap doesn’t have any locking systems or threads to secure it, but it seems to be tight enough to hold the bottom in place yet not too hard to take the top off for filling. It’s working great now but I can’t say how durable it is for long run. I’m not using it everyday so I don’t how long will it hold up.

Bottom line, It is a good gift for tea lovers.

I was so excited about this, I did a lot of research, and I thought this was the perfect tea infuser for me. I like to use about two teaspoons of loose tea per cup, so I wanted something with a large area for the tea. This would work perfectly, it’s at least 3 times larger than my biggest tea ball, but that’s where the awesomeness of this item ends.

When mine got here the leaf was already torn. Where the stem is straight, there is a solid wire in it, to assist you in pulling the “dirt” out of the pot. That wire had poked through and torn the stem. It’s unfixable. Also when I tried to pull it out, the entire stem/leaf portion, basically all that’s green, popped out of the dirt, and I had a really difficult time putting it back. Once I did get it back, it wouldn’t stay seated in the dirt. It’s a circular problem. The dirt fits really tightly into the pot portion, which is great, until it becomes time to get it out. I have a feeling that if it had held together that when I actually went to use it, it would have made tea leaves go everywhere, making a huge mess.

Luckily Amazon has pretty easy returns. This one is going back. I’ll be on the lookout for a new tea infuser. It’s just so difficult to find ones that hold large amounts of tea!

I drink a lot of Roobis tea which has fine leaves. A little bit of the leaves get out but not much. This is easy to clean and looks so cute in my cup. Having a large tea strainer/infuser is important because you need the leaves to have room to expand for better flavor release.

The top just pops in and out. Do not pull on the green leaf. Just lift from the side of the brown part.

I was a little disappointed that the bottom of mine is slightly dented. I did not realize this until after I used it. No real biggie but if you plan to give this as a gift inspect it first.
